Deep appreciation

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

For those who've plowed through my series of questions, I appreciate your patience. I've lurked around here for a long time. At times I've interjected with mindless comments, unverifiable anecdotes which I believe to be 100% trustworthy, and contributions to discussions that may be worth what you paid for them. I will take credit for getting DWay to visit the forum for that Q&A session. However, my contributions have been dwarfed by some of the regulars who need their normal lives back as much as I do. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for making this a truly surreal journey.

Hints of who I am have managed to leak through the system. My career is global enough to make being labelled a nutcase not necessarily in my best interest. However, this one I sign.

Sincerely,

David Collum Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology Cornell University dbc6@cornell.edu

PS--If you work for the Feds, I think you guys can be real idiots but I wouldn't take a lot of time fattening up my files too much. If you know me, send me an email.

Hey Dave, My sister-in-law was a professor there for awhile. Not telling you who though. :)

Dave,

Good luck. I hope you have tenure.

Dave, I have greatly appreciated both your contributions and your willingness to put yourself on the line. Good luck in the snow belt this winter!

Best of luck!

Somehow "others" may look like the nutz next year. Stand up and be counted is my motto.

;-D

Happy Holidaze.

Dave.....

Thanks for your contributions i paid particular attention to your posts. I think you were the one instrumental in getting Mr Dale Way to contribute as well. My hat's off to you.... :-)

Dave, Thanks for your contributions. I hope we make it through this thing and can rebuild. I'll bet the FBI hopes so, too. (Funny how a lot of us here aren't too stupid.)

Don't stop contributing now. I for one appreciate the fact that you invited Dale Way into our humble abode here on the net. I found the exchange very interesting, although full of concerns. It doesn't matter much to me or my family WHAT might make the lights go out or raises the price of gasoline/oil. These next two weeks will be frazzled for all of us, and I hope you find time at some point to spend with your y2k buds...grin.

I wish you and yours a nice holiday season and a VERY happy new year. (I meant to have lower case lettering BTW)
