How about carry a 9.5 pound rifle, strap on a full size pistol plus 40lbs of gear on your LBE, then hoist an 80lb alice pack onto your back. Then run a couple miles, climb a hill, camp out when it's 20 degrees F, wake up at 3:00AM for target practice, and then consume only food and water you find in the wild.

Jay,

Good work-out if you can keep it up.

I had to stop the push-ups and chin-ups
because of bursitis, but there are always
good substitutes. I've been climbing a
rope tied to the top of the 14' pole in
the center of my house. I'm using homemade
climbing gear. A harness made from a long
strap. Rope ascenders using the Prussic
knot. Carabiners and a figure-8 descender
are the only purchased material. It's a
good exercise and it's fun.

Don't forget the timed, two-mile, 150lb gutted deer drag, uphill all the way of course. Optional 12-inch snowfall as obstacle for extra credit. Extra points for near-zero weather and/or leaky boots. Additional credit for not getting shot at by urban (NYC or Philly) hunter mistaking you for deer.

For those forum followers out west, substitute the 100lb elk quarters back-carry, two ridge crossings minimum. Optional 1/4 mile chase by hungry bear. Extra credit for outrunning bear without jettisonning elk meat. Additional credit for finding keys to vehicle upon arriving at dead run just ahead of hungry bear.

You Guys!!!

Typical Guy hunting stuff. Here's how I see it: Assume a kneeling position in the dirt with head bent forward in front of the body while maintaining a .002 mph forward motion, all the while moving your arms, wrists and hands in a perfectly repetitive motion. Continue ceaselessly for countless hours. Extra credit for (1) intense noonday sun, (2) excessive thorns and (3) bravely withstanding the lash of the Community Garden Warden's whip

30 -65 pound suitcases (or heavier if vacation/civilian travelling), one or 2 per passenger. Lift from ground to 2.75 feet off ground push foreward aprox 1.25 feet and set down in trunk.

retrieve same by lifting up 1.5 feet (at arm's reach) and set down at your feet.

All effectively one handed (no additional handholds).

NO warm up.

NO pre-loosening (unless you count the fast arm turns to get car into rediculously small driveway)
