Geez, what's happened to the guy? Last time I saw him on the tube -- late last year -- his hair was dark and he weighed maybe 20 pounds more! Do ya suppose...stress?

This was predominantly spin. CYA and lots of it.

Did you notice how he got flustered and fumbled around when asked about the reports of Representative Horn??? The evidence of a manufactured answer.

Kosky spin in action...marvelous to behold.

This guy is really good at the spin, well polished, carefully thought-out answers, and able to deflect questions and doubts about his supporting data.

He was able to answer one True/False question with over fifty words!

He never did say true or false in that answer though.

He did look worried and much more animated that he was earlier in the year. His head was actually moving around on his shoulders.

When you constantly say "don't worry, everything is fixed" in a situation like this you leave yourself very little wiggle room to move around...just in case.
