40 feet underground in Framingham, MA

Here's where the political elite ill be spending the rollover.

There are some very unusual statements in this blurb.

"Specially purified air filtration system"

According to the article, the shelter was built in the cold war. If it also has commumication facitities for managing disasters, then I don't find anything unusual or significant about the "specially purified air filtration system".

I hope they've stocked alot of garlic to deter the number of blood- suckers that will be pouring into it seeking safety.

Interesting the elite are going underground to wait it out if there is "no problem".

I have a big T shaped hole dug but have not completed the interior; it will be rough and no cement for sure and a wood door. Unless you have a direct blast of a Nuke I think I think something like what I am going to have will be ok. One thing I am concerned about is if the Nuke plants blow. How far in miles will their radiation blow and fall? I have not been able to find this out does anyone know?

Well, Chernobyl spread out from Russia around the world to Canada or at least Great Britain if I remember.

Obo, check this out: http://members.aol.com/rafleet/hazmaps.htm and go down the page to "Hazard maps", I think that the fallout maps are there.

If I were one of the "elite", and TSHTF, I don't think I'd worry near as much about getting in to the bunker --

-- as I would about getting out again.

Why don't these drunken fools just use the otherwise useless, "Big Dig" tunnel if they want to really be safe? Actually, they could easily herd into the Ted Williams tunnel, since the freaking state won't let anybody else use it anyway. Massachusetts is filthy rich with useless and underutilized holes in the ground that cost CA, WA, NV, MO, and all other state citizens many billions of dollars to dig.

And did you note that the bunker will be secured by armed guards? You would think that if an event warranted ARMED GUARDS then the Boston Globe would be doing community outreach to educate to and prepare citizens for the danger. Ha ha ha ha ha, right, and spoil First Night? "Oh, by the way, the danger level is high enough to employ ARMED GUARDS at a bunker, but do have a very nice First Night on the icy, and possibly darkened streets of Boston."

Of course they'll have armed guards protecting the place...I'm just curious as to whether the Mass State Troopers will be wearing the usual Nazi Gestapo surplus pantaloons and jack boots, or the new black ninja suits.
