I tried to figure this out from the digitrax instructions but also the instructions that come with the mrc decoder. Help. I am into the middle of this and I do not want to ruin this engine

Just ignore everything pertaining to sound. The NMRA has standardized the wire color codes for basic functions like track power, motor wiring, and headlights.
