Someone on another forum says he got airless, foamfilled bicycle tires at www.greentyre.com.

Has anyone used these tires?

I've seen these for sale at Wallmart and they look like a nice item to have. We loaded our bug-out bikes with a flatproofing goo that you insert via the valve stem... it's cheaper than the foam liners and can be had at any bikeshop. By the way, we found the automotive version of this stuff at NAPA and took care of them too!

Choirboy. I looked at www.greentyre.com their offering appears to be a complete tire to be mounted on the rim as is. not the same as the insert offered by Walmart.

I got a couple of those foam innertubes at Wally World. My kids have paper routes and they are constantly getting flats. After trying to get the first innertube on the rim for about 45 minutes, I gave up and returned both tubes to WW and got the puncture resistant kind....up and running in about 10 minutes. We checked with the guy who runs the local bike specialty shop. He said he actually got one of those foam jobs onto a rim and into the tire. It took him about 2 hours and he had to use an auto tire tool, but he DID get in on the bike!! Life's too short for these things!
