This "kid" is Barry Alvarez' son. A friend of mine dated him for a short time; he's a disturbed, wicked person. Too bad he was given only ten days in jail (*yawn*).

Yummy ! Tastes like chicken.

-- microwaved POLLY (sicko@lurk.nut), December 11, 1999.

What an evil, irrational, "child", to destroy something that is helpless, such as that animal was!

That act was nothing short of torture. We are responsible for our actions and the effects of our actions upon our surroundings. I think it's time for people to wake up or else pay the penalty for their short-sightedness.

People who abuse an animal seldom stop there.

A fitting punishment for this young man would be to be assigned the task of cleaning up any radio active sites without the aid of any protctive clothing. Lets see how he like being microwaved.

-- Malcolm Taylor (taylorm@es.co.nz), December 11, 1999.

I have cried everyday after reading the article about the young father pouring gas on his two year old sleeping daughter and burning her to death. He said he did not know why he did it. The little girl crawled 10 ft before she died. What can we do about all of horrible deeds that go on under our noses? What?

Typical actions of a future serial killer. Possible hero figure? Jeffrey Dahmer.

New business: Don't forget to turn in your guns at the next "buyback".

Nothign strange about this. Just another sceintist with no sensibilities conducting grotesquely painful experiments on innocent and terrified animals for no good reason.

This jerk could probably get a job at Proctor & Gamble. They still do live animal testing (torture)on small animals.

Carol, All we can do is try to be less and less violent in ourselves, working for contagion of the nonviolent meme.

-- Mara (MaraWayne@aol.com), December 11, 1999.

Mara you are right, but it still does not stop the actual hurt of innocents. My ex pastor told me I have too much empathy and I had to get over it. That is the problem, people getting over it.

-- Carol (glear@usa.net), December 12, 1999.

That parrot's not dead....he's merely sleeping. (Poor Polly).

-- DG (steverromano@eaton.com), December 12, 1999.

DG,

You wouldn't by any chance be alluding to the hilarious Monty Python skit about the pet store clerk trying to convince a dissatisfied customer that his newly purchased bird is not dead, but just sleeping? I don't think I've ever laughed to hard in my life.

-- TM (mercier7@pdnt.com), December 12, 1999.

Let me restate that last sentence...I don't think I've ever laughed SO hard in my life. That skit ranks right up there with "The Twit Race", "Lumberjack Song", and "The Blamange (sp?)"

-- Carol (glear@usa.net), December 11, 1999.

We can only look inside ourselves and deal with our own evil. God has created us as autonomous beings, we will never be able to truly control what another person does. We only control ourselves. Self-knowledge is the key.

Beautiful bird, the Norwegian Blue! Lovely plumage!

Here's much happier news out of Madison, Wisconsin.

Definitely a bittersweet day for the Alvarez family.

O.K. If you're serious about survival - here's a recipe for parrot. I've survived in the Australian outback for weeks, on nothing but native tucker:

1. Shoot the parrot, pluck it, bleed it 2. Place parrot in saucepan of stock (pref. parrot stock) 3. Simmer gently for about 6 hours ( 15 mins either way is not critical) 4. Remove flesh from bone (use crushed bone for fertilizer) 5. Dust parrot meat with flour (if available post Y2K} 6. BBQ on hot (NOT flaming) - coals until nicely brown (or slightly blackened, if preferred). 7. Enjoy, with snails as side order, if available.

YOU ARE SICK BUT FUNNY, SLOWLY.

waaaaaah about the parrot. sick sick person. poor poor birdie.

this will be deemed as wierd but what do i care. you don't know me. and i am wierd.

it seems as though there are more and more incidences of truly "evil" or "bizarre" behavior from individuals. just random acts of unthinkable violence, where a person will say, "a voice told me to do it". do you think there is something in the water? or do any of you share a belief with me that as we near the end times, the line between the natural and supernatural will be breached more often (e.g., people allowing themselves to be controlled by supernatural entitities). especially with all these kids shooting other kids, it seems as if some suggestion has been put into something they watch or listen to? i don't know but it is too coincidental.

plus, another "otherworld" oddity. i was listening to an excellent tape by John MacArthur of Grace to You and he shared (he knew people would think he was nuts) about a member of his congregation that used to be a part of a group of wealthy satanists in LA. this person told John that 1) there were a number of wealthy entertainment executives who have allowed themselves to be "indwelt" by demons, 2) one of the higher level persons at the UN is actually indwelt by the demon who has the rule over America (in the spiritual realm). could this explain the use of the UN in our demise?

ok, back to my cell.

tt,

From some of the research I've done over the years I have come to the tentative conclusion that items like the one you just mentioned are not totally delusional...but I, myself, will not "go there", espcially online...and neither should you, IMHO. Just some well- intentioned advice.

What we take from earth, we must give back in different form. Be that for good or evil is the measure of our wisdom.
