Dear K. the movie, in Prime Time was "blanked" out by a Football game, learned later, it was shown. like at 11:00 p.m. Would have liked to see it. Please let me know of other times. Thank You

and i waited so long:

Don't waist your time watching it. Personally, I thought it was one, jerked off movie. It was centered on one guy who was some kinda of knowitall and ended up saving the world. There are some good scenes but, at the end, it gave you that..."you mean thats all"...feeling.

I remember telling my wife just before that Y2K movie: "If airplanes fall from the sky, I'm turning it off" Then I started watching ... and an airplane fell from the sky! I turned it off immediately.

waited too long,

Actually I videotaped it...I just think they may recycle it on MSNBC cable on Sunday, when they typically run almost a whole day of canned retrospectives.

Except for the "planes falling from sky," EVERY failure in the movie either has already occurred, or has happened during testing, many appearing on the Website of the British IEE. The Power Plant control panel lighting up like a Christmas Display happened not at a Nuke, but at a huge Hydro installation in Brazil (where they almost fried several turbines.)

If it is on this Sunday, and you have access to Cable, I urge you to see it. (BTW, the Brits have reserved an ice rink for use as a makeshift morgue, just in case planes REALLY DO fall out of the sky!)

I've read textbooks with more creative writing, not worth your time. Maybe historians will think it was a comedy based on what really happened.
