Let's see, I'm sure Nabi, BB, Nikoli, A&L, and Mumsie are hiding, since they were obsessed with this delusion. Who else isn't here?

Sheeesh, I don't recall Jesus or anything in the Bible saying that we were supposed to hide. They should at least give us an idea of what time the fireworks will start, it won't be a very good show unless it is at night!

I just double checked the prime source. Nothing in there bout nukes from Russia on the 9th or 10th. Now there have been references to the Bible code but I would suggest that anything that has interpretations (go read some of Nostra's actual writings) leaves lots of fuzziness. It would be a tremendous bummer if you are jumping the gun because the 10th is not over in our neck of the woods. For somebody really into the written word there is a pretty clear exhortation to always be ready for your time. Also says something about judging prophets by their prophesies. Trying to call the next war seems akin to calling the end to the bull market. You know its going to happen, just not when.

My personal recomendation would be to read the Bible, not thump it, you get a lot more out that way.

According to Sitchin and other scholars, "pillar of salt" is a mistranslation; the same (or similar) word for "salt" is also "vapor". So, Lot's wife, fallen behind, was vaporized. By a nuke from a (one) berserk god named Yahweh, which nuke wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah, broke a naural dam in the Red Sea, allowing it to expand to the south and flooding the remains of those cities.

BTW, Yahweh, the self-appointed god of the Israelites obviously "himself" recognized the existence of other gods. "... You shall have no other gods before me."

Mumsie~ please check YOUR facts. Hawk is referring to Brian Huie's Bible Prophecy website. He predicted (based on his interpretation of Bible Code) that there was evidence to support a possible attack on the United States between sundown of Dec. 9th and sundown Dec. 10th.

Now...could someone show me the posters/threads that repetitively mock and spitefully bash Muslims, Buddhists, or those who practice Hinduism etc.? No? So it's only open season on Christians. Interesting. Not so far to look for a likely scapegoat if TSHTF. During WWII, it was the Jews. The Polish hated them so much, that they betrayed and killed Jewish/Polish patriots, and they lost valuable allies for the underground in their fight against Germany. Some of you appear to despise Christians so much, that it doesn't matter if the cause is worthy... such as patriotism...it really makes me wonder how far you might go. Disagree if you like, criticize if you like, but how about at least attempting some common courtesy and respect?

Goodness, I am TIRED of hearing the name Sitchin posted here over tha last few days...you'd think HE was God. I have read all of his works. He makes an excellent case. He's very interesting. But he does NOT espouse any religion guys! So stop quoting him as the SOURCE. There is only one of those and his name is GOD....he speaks through the Word, his Son, and the Holy Prophets. I don't know about some of the guys running around today...I base my religious life on what the Bible says....

When the troubles and woes do begin, Christians are told by God to seek shelter like Noah in the ark. Ps. 46 and 91 both tell us that our God is to be our Refuge and shelter in a time of trouble. And I leave you with this even though you don't believe the Bible...

Well I see my little featherbrained Moronic jester has once again made an appearance. As usual he doesn't have any of his facts correct but gambles that those of similar Iq will take everything he spouts at face value. Would you care to point to the post where I predicted an attack would come on the 9-10th? I have repeatadly stated I believe that IF an attack comes I believe it will be in late December, with a declining possibility after rollover. I have several times referred to the Bible codes but in no way endorsed them. You seem incapable of telling the truth, just as your idol Bill Clinton is. Of course this is not surprising from someone who thinks he is God.

So just for the record here is what I think, one more time. I think we are at the greatest threat of intentional nuclear war in the last 35 years or so, at least since the Cuban missile crisis. I think Boris Yeltsin is mentally unstable and posessed of a psychotic hatred and fear of the United States. I think if an attack comes it will most likely be in the last week and a half of the month, with the two peak times being Dec. 22nd-23rd and immediately prior to Russian rollover. Is this clear? Good. Now gather your little pack of atheist jackals and feed on another corpse until I return, this one is still kicking.

No. I would say that the governments of the world have absconded religion to use as a perverted tool just like any other belief or group.

I think its pretty silly to ridicule the POSSIBILITY of being nuked right now. If we make it through today and don't fulfill the Bible Code projection.. terrific. But considering Russia and China getting all snuggly and cosy and pledging to provide world security, and considering Yeltzin THREATENING TO NUKE US on the very day predicted by the Bible Code, it is definitely not out of the realm of possibility. I know... Yeltzin is really one of those "Bible thumpers", and just looking to fulfill his role? Cuba is in an uproar. Panama is being turned over to the Chinese. Nukes sitting there with "best if used by 12/31/99" stickers. Russian spies being deported. Way too many "interesting" things going on to make fun of people who see this as a time of risk.

Believe what you want, and stop flaming each other...This is how I envisioned it must have been early on in the muslim vs christian wars. Things would have to get really really bad before we see an all out nuclear slugfest. Without US, Russia would have insufficient grain and China wouldnt have anyone to buy their toasters.

I, like Billy Boy, usually stay out of religious debates. My belief is that interfering in the spiritual development of another is a sin. You, and you alone, will face the consequences of your beliefs. Therefore you, and you alone, need to find your own way home. However, some things just beg to be said.

All of this reminds me of a rhyme I heard in a movie, several years ago (the rhyme was the only memorable thing from an otherwise forgettable movie):

I was amazed that more was not made of this mumbled threat by Yeltsin, even though our controlled press has been basically lobotomized by 7 years of slavish devotion to the Rapist. Yeltsin was in essence declaring to the world that Russia and China are now allies, and that they intend to be the lone superpower from now on, in place of the United States. If he misspoke, it was that he spoke the truth before they were ready to fully reveal their plans to the world. This constitutes an ultimatum and a declaration that they intend to take world hegemony away from us by force, and I don't know how they would do that other than by nuclear weapons, augmented by chemical and biological. Anyone who does not take this threat seriously is seriously deluded.

Our concern about Nukes 'n Y2K comes from the fact that the Russians repeatedly, privately and publicly, vow to nuke the USA under cover of "Y2K accident." When the subject comes up we occasionally post verified news articles with those quotes therein. It seems to be increasingly On Topic, with Russia becoming more unstable, murderous, and boar bearish by the day.

Does anyone think that the prediction of the US being hit by nukes on 12/9-10 is true?

Since my Bible code findings regarding December 9-10 appear to be the cause of a lot of discussion here today, I thought I would stop in a give my perspective of what happened (and didn't happen). Using the Bible codes to predict future events is very difficult, and it's certainly not an exact science. Much of the interpretation is guesswork based on the interpretator's view of how the words and phrases fit together.

Based on my Bible code findings regarding 1 Tevet (Dec. 9-10), I initially thought that nuclear destruction would come upon the US by Russia/China on this date. However, the Lord confirmed to me last night that these codes do not represent the actual date of the attack, but instead they reference what occurred during the meetings between Russian President Yeltsin and Chinese President Zemin in Beijing on Dec. 9th-10th.

Regarding President Clinton's recent condemnation of Russia's military activities in Chechnya, Yeltsin said during a press conference in Beijing, "Bill Clinton permitted himself yesterday to forget by a second, by a minute, by half-a-minute what Russia means and that Russia has a complete arsenal of nuclear weapons. We shall dictate the world how to live rather than Mr. Clinton alone."

I believe that the codes purpose was to show that these high level meetings were held to finalize the agreement to launch nuclear attacks on the USA and her allies (e.g., Taiwan). But I don't know when those attacks are going to occur. However, logic seems to dictate that they will almost certainly happen before December 31, 1999.

As supporting evidence, I refer you to the AP story on the meetings below, as well as a 1996 prophecy by Dimitru Duduman.

Yeltsin Lashes Out At Clinton

BEIJING (AP) - Boris Yeltsin lashed out at President Clinton on Thursday for criticizing Russia's war in Chechnya, bluntly reminding Clinton that Russia emains a nuclear power.

"It seems Mr. Clinton has forgotten Russia is a great power that possesses a nuclear arsenal. We aren't afraid at all of Clinton's anti-Russian position," Yeltsin said at a meeting with Chinese legislative chairman Li Peng.

"I want to tell President Clinton that he alone cannot dictate how the world should live, work and play. It is us who will dictate."

Yeltsin's outburst, delivered in front of reporters, came after he secured Chinese backing for Russia's campaign to crush separatists in Chechnya.

Clinton, meanwhile, did not back off his criticism of the Russian offensive, which has produced large numbers of civilian casualties and driven more than 240,000 civilians out of Chechnya.

"I don't agree with what's going on there, and I think I have an obligation to say so," Clinton told reporters in Washington. He sought, however, to avoid a war of words with Yeltsin, saying, "I mean, we can't get too serious about - let's not talk about what the leaders are saying and all these words of criticism."

Both Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Li, No. 2 in the ruling Communist Party, welcomed Yeltsin to Beijing with bear hugs. Jiang, who studied car production in Moscow 44 years ago, greeted Yeltsin in Russian, calling him "old friend."

"Jiang Zemin completely understands and fully supports Russia's actions in combatting terrorism and extremism in Chechnya," Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told reporters after the first of three presidential meetings scheduled during Yeltsin's 30-hour visit.

Underlining the informal nature of their summit, Jiang and Yeltsin took a brief stroll hand-in-hand Friday in the ornately landscaped grounds of the state guest house where Yeltsin was staying. The two leaders commented on some calligraphy atop a gate and on the windy weather.

Chinese backing for its war in Chechnya was a crucial goal of Yeltsin's trip. The Chechen campaign has drawn heavy criticism from the United States, and European nations, but appears to be pushing China and Russia closer together.

With restive minorities of its own in Tibet and the Muslim northwest, China says Russia should deal with Chechnya as it sees fit. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue repeated Thursday that Chechnya is Russia's internal affair.

"The Chinese side understands and supports the efforts made by Russia in safeguarding national unity and territorial integrity," she told reporters.

Russia "has tried to avoid civilian losses," she added.

Yeltsin came to Beijing just three days after leaving a hospital where he was treated for pneumonia. He looked pale on arrival in Beijing, leaning heavily on the rails of the stairs while leaving his plane, and stiff when meeting Jiang.

"We all begged him not to go, and we all begged him not to leave the hospital so soon and go to work. Well, you know it is useless to ask, it is his style of work all his life," Yeltsin's wife Naina said in remarks on Russian television.

"Probably it is already impossible to change him."

Perhaps out of concern for his health, Yeltsin's meetings with Jiang, Li and Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji took place within the secluded grounds of the state guest house.

After their meeting, Jiang and Yeltsin watched as their foreign ministers signed three accords defining the countries' 2,630-mile border and joint use of disputed islands.

Yeltsin and Jiang initiated annual summit meetings in 1996 to draw the fierce Cold War rivals closer and build a strategic partnership. Both leaders have found their relationship a useful counter to Washington's predominance in world affairs, although Russia and China both need U.S. support for their economies.

Yeltsin and Jiang both agreed that there should not be "one country dominating the world," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang said. "World affairs should be determined by all countries in the world."

Aside from their common perception that the United States plays too dominant a role in the world, Russia and China are also joined in opposition to U.S. research into systems to shoot down incoming missiles.

After Yeltsin's meeting with Li, Ivanov said the two sides agreed that non-proliferation treaties and the global strategic balance must be safeguarded.

As I was looking, I saw a great light. A dark cloud appeared over it. I saw the president of Russia, a short, chubby man, who said he was the president of China, and two others. The last two also said where they were from, but I did not understand. However, I gathered they were part of Russian controlled territory. The men stepped out of the cloud.

The Russian president began to speak to the Chinese one. "I will give you the land with all the people, but you must free Taiwan of the Americans. Do not fear, we will attack them from behind."

A voice said to me, "Watch where the Russians penetrate America." Then I saw these words being written: Alaska, Minnesota, Florida.

Then the man spoke again," When America goes to war with China, the Russians will strike without warning."

The other two presidents spoke, "We, too, will fight for you." Each had a place already planned as a point of attack. All of them shook hands and hugged. Then they all signed a contract. One of them said, "We're sure that Korea and Cuba will be on our side, too. Without a doubt, together, we can destroy America."

The president of Russia began to speak insistently, "Why let ourselves be led by the Americans? Why not rule the world ourselves? They have to be kicked out of Europe, too! Then I could do as I please with Europe!"

The man standing beside me said, "This is what you saw: they act as friends, and say they respect the treaties made together. But everything I've shown you is how it will REALLY happen. You must tell them what is being planned against America. Then, when it comes to pass, the people will remember the words the Lord has spoken."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am the protector of America. America's sin has reached God. He will allow this destruction, for He can no longer stand such wickedness. God, however, still has people that worship Him with a clean heart as they do His work. He has prepared a heavenly army to save these people."

As I looked, a great army,well armed and dressed in white, appeared before me. "Do you see that?" the man asked. "This army will go to battle to save My chosen ones. Then, the difference between the Godly and the ungodly will be evident.

It's just as well as that you stay out of religious discussions. You're ignorant of the facts. The statement above is conventional modernist wisdom, parroted flippantly and mindlessly by the ignorami. It is totally false as well, as the most elementary knowledge of history would prove.

The Egyptian conquest The Babylonian conquest The Assyrian conquest The Medo-Persian conquest The Greek conquest The Roman conquest The conquests of Atila and Ghenghis...

...all of which were fought for economic and political, not religious, reasons.

We haven't thrown in the various plagues, natural disasters, etc. that cause human suffering and death.

But the religious bigots will read all that and post the same mindless charge tomorrow as if nobody had said a word to them.

Well, Yeltsin DID THREATEN to nuke us, that's kind of close, and it shows the danger is real and immediate! So the prediction should have read that there would be a threat of nuclear war... SO one word was missed... Would you prefer that is was correct, Hawk??

More suffering has come in the NAME of religion perhaps than any other thing. This may be true. Wars DO NOT happen (for the most part) for religios reasons, the happen because powerful men and women have an economic NEED for them to happen. Anyone who does not understand this simple principle is missing the boat.

God, THE Living God of the Bible, did NOT want the Israelites to have a King (or even Judges) but in his permissive will (because they insisted) He allowed them to have Judges and then Kings. It was what they wanted, not what God thought they should have.

I do not speak for Him, it is what his Word says. Those of you who have prejudices, might consider READING what his Word says. You are so intelligent and wise, you will not fall prey to some deception which you think might be in that Word. So take the time to READ it before you tell us what you know.

I am white I can not know what it is to be black for I have never been.

I am male I can not know what it is to be female for I have never been.

I am a Christian I can know what it is to hate Christians for I once did.

Bryan, I respectfully would like to admonish you as a fellow believer. I believe in the Bible codes, i.e., I believe that God is more than capable of awesomely weaving what is beyond us into His Word. What He does is to His glory. I do not believe we are to use it to predict the future. You most likely caused distress to many people with your 'error'. Fear is not of Him. It did not bring glory to Him.

To fellow believers...remember, Life is a sacred gift and He has entrusted it to us. We should always cherish Life and fight for it, but never fear death. He has conquered death!
