oops! Sorry, false alarm. It is just another piece on "y2k scams" and old people. sorry folks.

However.... earlier Tom Hanks was interviewed by Katie Curac. He had a heavy beard and looked fatigued and stressed (bags under the eyes, etc.). At the end of the interview, she wished him a "Merry Christmas." He wished her a "Safe y2k." I wonder if Tom Hanks is a GI? I wonder if he is lurking here on this forum?

The man from the Better Business Bureau was interesting. Made me realize that the elderly GI's are somewhat more susceptible than those who dismiss the entire subject. The 80-year old I converted to a GI bought one of those over-priced emergency kits, instead of putting together his own at WalMart. Think I'll touch bases again, just to remind them not to give out their personal information over the phone. The fact that they already have some fear could make a scammer's job just that much easier.

Tom is getting ready to shoot a movie called "Castaway" or something...thats whats with the sunken feature/beard ectectect. He's a method actor...ie lives the role he plays. So he is playing a Robinson-Crusoe GI on this (Heard it on the celeb-drool channel the other night.)
