Gotta Thank You, Homer...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Homer, I don't know how you find the time, or how you locate your sources, but I want to thank you for making the effort to post all the info you've come up with. Suffice it to say that if you hadn't done so, I would never have been exposed to the stuff you've provided, nor had the opportunity to pass it on to others.

Thank you for all you've done for me.

Homer, give us a hint--how do you do it?

-- Mara (MaraWayne@aol.com), December 08, 1999.

Yes, Homer, I echo the sentiment. Just one thing, I would sure love it if you could put the State that the article is about at the top of the post, that way I can pay attention to the article itself, and not wonder the whole time I'm reading it, where the heck this is going on....

Thanks in advance.....

I'll second that. Gracias, Homer.

Norm,

Thanks for the kind words, but a special thanks to all the sysops who make this place happen.

Yep, you-da-man, Homer.

And we "old time" forum posters particularly can appreciate the irony that this Thank You thread was initiated by a guy named "Norm". (Undoubtedly NOT the other one. Whom I still think was a machine, not human.)

-- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), December 08, 1999.

Homer is a machine. If this site becomes unavailable for any reason, check out www.y2knews.com. They have a comprehensive Y2k site that is updated frequently throughout the day. VERY timely new releases...

Yes, thank you Homer. Lots of time and effort and it's very appreciated!

Homer, a thorn in the side of the media whores. How sweet it is!

-- haha (haha@haha.com), December 08, 1999.

Homer.... Youre #1 in news reporting. No doubt about it!. Thanks!

Big thanks Homer!

I've thanked Homer a few times before, but put me down for one more! <:)=

-- Sysman (y2kboard@yahoo.com), December 08, 1999.

Homer is way ahead of the pack. Unbelievable range of references, esp the 50-100,000 circulation category whose news stories often get buried in the tangle of wires by the major dailies. Keep postin!

Homer and the Y2K Odyssey...

With apologies to Robert Fitzgerald:

"Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story of that man skilled in all ways of searching, the finder of facts, harried for months on end, after he uncovered the folly on the end of the century..."
