OT: RAINBOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN DC with contrails

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This is the third day this week for contrails in DC area. Sunday was straight lines only. Today and yesterday were criss crosses and now for the first time I am seeing a full circular rainbow as I have heard people describe in relationship to the contrails. this is too strange. we had totally clear skies on the other days.

tt,

I am sitting here in Springfield, Va. at my desk looking out the window at 3:55p.m. EDT.

The sun is setting and the sky is filled with high cirrus clouds and the typical jet contrails from Reagan National and or andrews and or dulles I see the same rainbow you have referred to---IT is a Rainbow.

I am a little suspect as to why you would be of the state of mind to perpetuate this here?

the email is real!!

Saw the same thing myself about 30 minutes ago. These are normal contrails from normal commercial jet traffic. The rainbow is the result of the sun shining through a cloud at just the right angle.

tt,

It's been going on in Hampton Roads for the past 2 days, with crosses and a circle rainbow. Get this -- I live in the airport flight pattern, and took pix where you can see the contrails and chemtrails; they are very easy to differentiate. Hopefully they turn out.

I saw the rainbow and criss-crossed pattern too. About 3 pm.

If you want to know something about this stuff, here is the best place on the Internet to find out the truth.

It's a cloudy and dank day here in the South, with a bit of nip in the air. Suffice to say it's as close as we get to Christmas weather. Also, it's a good day to stay in, avoid holiday crowds, a catch a good oldie on television.

AMC (I believe) was happy to offer a nice adventure piece from the 60s, "The Flim Flam Man," starring the late George C. Scott. Among others prominately featured was Harry Morgan as the somewhat bumbling, always blustery Sheriff of Cape Fear County, presumably in North Carolina.

During one of the chase scenes Scott's stolen vehicle wound up in a ditch. Morgan's party came upon the abandoned vehicle some time later, for which the director used a low shot, coming from the ditch and looking straight up at Morgan's character, with the sky as a backdrop.

The revelance of this shot is filming took place on a clear day. So clear there was not a cloud in the sky, except the criss crossing pattern of a low altitude, should I say, chemtrail; the kind we have been seeing of recent.

This was not the evanscent contrail, mind you, as it appeared in several takes. Nor should the possiblity of it be residuals from a nearby crop dusting be considered (entirely too high). No, it readily resembled that of what some on this forum describes as a chemtrail. The catch is, this movie was made in 1967.

See ya.

I will rent The Flim Flam Man to see if what you are talking about looks like what I am seeing. I have heard some discussion of earlier trials going back that far (to the '50's - sorry, no link). I've also seen them in Red Dawn and recent advertising. Does Hollywood paint the sky for effect or just wait for it to be how they want it to look?

make that: what I am seeing

Didn't want to start a new thread for this because it will be gone soon. Try to stop the gif animation on the frame that says 12:14 in orange type. You will see 4 parallel trails. I am at a loss to explain these - any ideas?

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), December 16, 1999.

Anybody else see them yet?

Try to stop the gif animation on the frame that says 12:14 in orange type. Hawk: The lowest number I see is 1:43

-- Dancr (addy.available@my.webpage), December 16, 1999.

Hmmm, that's strange. Maybe my browser is going to the cache file.

Thanks Dancr, do you see the 4 contrails at one stage in the animation near the bottom half over the Pacific Ocean?

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), December 16, 1999.

Ok, I saved the gif from yesterday's Yahoo weather site and posted it up on a web page. Hit your stop button on your browser so you can get this animation stuck on the 12:14 frame. You'll see 4 contrails going across the bottom half of the screen. I have never seen contrails on one of these photos before because they are usually too small to be seen. This must have come from some aircraft that was at a much closer altitude of the satellite which took the photo. Any guesses what the heck would do this?

About the photo shown on this page, I see almost no clouds in the lower half of the picture -- just a tiny one over land at the lower right. There is a cloud mass just to the left of center, poised to come over lower California, and trailing out from that are four wispy trails "dragging" another cloud mass from just below the center line at the left edge of the frame. These "trails" do not look man made to me. I don't see the 12:14 time at all.

I don't know how to get to the web page you mention in your more recent post. No URL is provided. The picture attached to this greenspun web page is broken.

Dancr:

What was in the sky in the "The Flim Flam Man" was not related to the plot. It just happened to be there. As for "Red Dawn" I cannot say. I would say special effects, even in the mid eighties when Dawn came out, would allow movie makers to do anything they wanted.

Dancr,

Here is the link to the page. Can you see them on this gif?

4 parallel contrails over Pacific Ocean?

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), December 16, 1999.

Dancr, you out there? (or anyone?) Please give it one more shot on the above link to the web page if you can. I need to find out if there is something wrong with my computer or if I am just hallucinating!

I do not think this is related to any of the chemtrail incidents, but I wonder if any pilots or astronauts out there can explain it. Thanks.

I can see 12:14 now, and even in the one on this page. However, I'm sorry, I sure don't see any parallel lines. Where are these lines supposed to be?

-- Dancr (addy.available@my.webpage), December 17, 1999.

Thanks Dancr, they are sort of curving with the shape of the Earth about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom and all the way across the ocean, but they are very faint. It helps if you can stop it right on that frame and you'll be able to see them. It may take a few stops and reloads to get it just right.

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), December 17, 1999.

Hawk,

I see them plain as day. I've got a wideband, maybe that has something to do with the complete download? Anyway, do you know how I could get a shot of the East coast? Not that I need it to verify; the planes were cross-spraying the hell outta downtown hampton and newport news late this afternoon.

I see nothing, there. My monitor sux.

You can also go to your local town library or college library and they will usually have a scanner you can use for free.

Very interesting... Looks like those 4 contrails covered about 4000 miles between 11:44 and 12:14. Let's see that works out to about oh, I dunno, maybe 8000 nautical miles per hour. NOW THAT IS IMPRESSIVE.

What I am trying to say is that this picture is a freakin' HOAX or you just hit on something that is SO SECRET your life is in danger.

-- (...@.......), December 23, 1999.

Actually after a second look. I would estimate their speeds at more like 5-6 k MPH. That is MACH 5 or 6. That is pretty damn fast but not outside the realm of possibility. Four parallel tracks at those speeds might be a flight of SR-71's returning home from over seas. Still looks like a HOAX to me. If it is not SR-71's and it is real it is for sure classifyed. I know it's UFO's right? If FOR SURE AINT SPRAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF A DAMN OCEAN, DUH.

-- (...@.......), December 23, 1999.

Thanks for those suggestions. When you take the altitude into account, it might have covered about 1000 miles in a half hour, which is possible by the SR-71 (max speed about 3.5 mach?). I'm also wondering if these trails could have come from the Space Station or Mir, which would have been below the altitude of the satellite, but a lot closer than any aircraft.

I have posted the still frame at this thread for further discussion:

The catch is, this movie was made in 1967.

Here's a report from an early news article that goes back quite a few years. Not all the way to 1967 but getting close. I found this at Contrails Mystify, Sicken Americans:

Pat Edgar has been watching the jets spraying over eastern Oklahoma since a sunny day in October, 1977 when as many as 30 contrails gradually occluded the sky. "They look like they're playing tic-tac-toe up there," he says. "You know darn well it's not passenger planes."

-- Dancr (addy.available@my.webpage), December 28, 1999.

Not much of an answer, but an observation....I am consistently seeing chemtrails on a daily basis over the San Diego area. Most folks here that I speak to regarding this major, illegal, phenomenom are totally oblivious to whats happening in our skies around the world. I don't even enjoying bringing up the subject anymore because its like talking to a wall with these people.

My observation has been seeing these "chemtrails" appear on many TV commercials, (Suburu for one). Check out the graphics used in many of the News programs showing these chemtrails as part of the background.

I was watching Fox News, as I usually do each day, and lo and behold, as Sean Hannity interviewed Newt Gingrich, the back-drop was the Capitol building with criss-crossing chemtrails. Very blatant! (1-26- 05)

What gets to me most is that "they" are surely trying to kill us slowly, but yet at the same time they will arrest 2 young 10 year old school children who simply drew violent stick-figures and walked them from the scholl in hand-cuffs.

What kind of control do these things want???? If I sound crazy or paranoid blame it on the chemtrails!
