Dave, I find your images engaging & and worth the exhibit. From a design point of view the gray 'background' had me stumped for a little while, and I find the data surrounding each image distracting. Also, the captions bother me a bit. I don't have an answer to that, except I feel if the captions are that bland, you might as well use some kind of numbering system. Although I am a guy, I tripped over your use of 'girl' when the images clearly depicted women. As a viewer, I find the 'commercial' emphasis of the site disconcerting. I don't recall any photo-site, either from a well known, or little known photographer, that displayed such an 'in your face' approach to sales. My feeling on that is, if it works for you, and you are making money, great - go for it, but if you are not bringing 'em in, you might want to consider a little more subtle and classy approach.

I viewed this site with a 17" monitor (which I think is kinda standard these days), but this seemed too small. When checking out the photos I was missing the print size information in the top of the window. Also when I chose to enlarge the image it became too big for my monitor and therefor I could only see the top lefthand corner of the image.

But besides that, these are quality pictures.

OK, I made a mistake in viewing this site. I had my monitor set at 800 x 600 and things didn't work out. But on Dave's advice, I changed the resolution to 1024 x 768 and everything now looks great and fits on the screen just like it was intended.

This is a great site and worth checking out.

I think the opening page needs a little bit of improvement. It looks rather bland, and I had to pause a moment and think of what I wanted to do. Usually there is some representative image to click, but not here.

Other than that, I did enjoy the site.

Dave, your images in the "people" section are such a refreshing approach to capturing everyday life in documentary style. I loved them. They made me smile and even laugh! Carole Foret
