Y2k as a bump in the road

Compared to these folks, our resident doomsters are amateurs. This index has many links, some of them to quite informative pages. An equal opportunity site, everyone will find something here to aggravate them.

Tom,

That is one "hell" of a site. Very sobering documentaries. Pollies don't go there... you won't like it... tells of the human condition, something you don't acknowledge...

no longer snoozin'....

I think our resident pessimists hold up rather well....

Dog, then it must be chock-full of notes and rumor that suggest psychological malformations, right? I don't think you'd comprehend the human condition in the real world if it leapt up and bit you in the arse. Fantasy Island....the love of imagined reality...well, now you're talkin'.

Hey, that guy on the right of the "Coming Soon" diagram looks just like me, right down to the bow. Cool, I'm 1000 years ahead of my time!

Thanks for the post, Tom. It was well worth a look to get a different perspective. And it's a timely reminder that our vaunted technological civilisation is precarious enough without Y2K, based as it is on fossil fuels and disposing rather than re-using and re-cycling.

As they say: we can't go on like this forever. Maybe Y2K will be a wake up call and we'll start thinking forty years ahead rather than pursuing short term profit at any cost.

Har har. Or maybe not.

Bad Co...

You are clueless aren't you? You have no idea who you are talking to or trying to insult... I bet you took my advice and "didn't go there..." Good...

And regarding the human condition BC... you are typical... IMHO of course.

snoozin' again...

Ken,

You have that right... Unfortunately that website has a lot of information in it that looks to be .gov material, but I am not sure... I will have to bookmark it and research...

Also Ken, .338 Lapua, that's the round of choice for North American game, IMHO.

Got .50 BMG??? (snicker)

loungin' on the porch, in the SUN...

All liberal view points. garbage for the most part. naturally SOME truth but the truth is stretched and used for the wrong conclusions. BUT very convincing IF no other facts are studied.

Excellent site, I just finished reading "Best Kept Secret in Washington." Sobering.
