I use a ATI all in wonder + miro dc50, so I have a lot of codecs available, what would you say is the best for avi capture prior to mpeg ing via x-ing or panasonic thanks

Answers

Use MJPEG codec, minimum compression. Failing this use ATI VCR2.0. MJPEG-coded .avi takes longer to encode to .mpg than most but quality especially with the Panasonic is better and HDD space is not overly consumed all at once.
