An interesting experience

Dear friends,

First, I would like to thank the many that contribute to this valuable forum. We can all agree that it does get silly now and then but for us that have been involved in Y2K, for what seems like many years, the end will soon arrive. Y2K paid the bills. We all learned a lot. It's been an exercise of exhaustion, patience, anxiety, paranoia, confidence building, ego tripping....etc. The list goes on.

We will never agree to one common strategy on how to best prepare for Y2K but if anything, sit back, use logic and be thankful that you haven't fully been convinced that everything will be just fine.

Congrats to Ed, Lane, Gary, Jim, Peter, Mike and the many others who have fought the good fight. If you don't agree with them, fine. But you have to admit they have made your life more interesting and like me, you can't wait to press that reload button once you finish responding to some troll, doomsayer, polly.. etc. Let's face it. It's been fun. 29 days to go.

Bill

If nothing else, it's been an excellent intellectual exercise. What would I do if the power went off? What would I do if I couldn't get food from the market? How would I protect my family in the absense of police?

We adapt so well to our environment, but we never stop to think what if that environment changed. I appreciate all the contributions and it has been fun.
