OT: Chem-trails in Philly Suburbs Right Now?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Ok. Is anybody else in the Philly suburbs? Look out the window and tell me if that cross hatch in the sky doesn't look a lot like the descriptions we have been hearing about. What the hell?

There are other jets in the sky right now where the trail evaporates after 30 seconds or so. Saw one jet with a long trail behind it that was dispersing but not disappearing.

Any aerotechs out there have any comments on what kind of planes leave which kind of trails?

"Very worried.

Have seen the planes mentioned above. White 727's with RED tails."

Um, TWA ??? I think this is their trademark, if not mistaken. Has no one ever seen these before ? Why is everyone so upset about this common phenomenon ? It is a common occurrance and easily explained. BTW, I'm no polly. I just hate to see wasted efforts on silly stuff like this. If you were getting sprayed, what is the purpose ??? Really ???

Well PA, the little gremlins in a white plane with a dark colored tail, sprayed patterns for 4 hours in Jacksonville, Fl today. Looks like there' going to coat the east coast for a while. It's gas mask time, Whoops! I forgot, they illegal for civies to wear. In Seattle anyway....

I think most of the trails you are seeing are just water vapor being produced by the burning of jet fuel. Depending on weather conditions and moisture in the atmosphere you will or won't produce contrails. They evaporate quickly is the air is very dry. Conversely if the air is very moist they will stay in place for long periods. Sometimes you don't even produce anything at all. Mostly I don't think there is anything sinister about these. I helped produce them for about 33+ years for one of the majors.

Gene,

Chemtrails are utterly distinct from regular contrails. This afternoon at 5 pm, I saw a single plane fly at a low jet level leaving a dispersing trail that stayed intact *from one horizon line to the other*. Other jets, flying much higher, left contrails--they were short and quickly gone.

My kids have coughs and headaches, and not for the first day.
