PEPPER SPRAY AND RADIOS

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Does anyone know of a type of far reaching pepper spray--one that would spray out a fog of 20 ft or more--so I don't have to be too close to my target?

Which type of radio is recommended for staying on top of local/national/international events? I'm considering a Baygen with shortwave and/or a good scanner. I would also like to be able to listen in on amateur or ham broadcasts. Anyone got any good recommendations?

Get a supersoaker gun and make your own pepper spray. Take hot pepper seeds, grind them in a coffee grinder, soak in water, then use the juice. Some of the super soakers put out streams over 20 feet

Put Tabasco Sauce in your super soaker. That's a lot easier!

Looks like the 'pepper' soaker might work. AOR scanners. Search at Dogpile.com.... www.dogpile.com

SEarch on AOR scanners. These little jewels need to be ordered from overseas but are worth it. Time is short.

You might look into getting the very large size pepperspray. They are very large, about the size of a 16oz Coke, and are designed for BEARS...

Also, if you carry the pepperspary, consider calling Galls (Police supply) (800-477-7766. They sell Bioshield cleanup solution - counteracts pepperspray and CS/CN. Supposed to neutralize the effects of spray in 5 mins or less, rather than lying there waiting much longer for it to wear off. Water doesn't neutralize sprays.

A 10-pk of towlettes is $9.99, and a 4oz pump spray dispenser is $16.99...check it out.
