OT. A new book I am reading.

"Millennium Rising" by Jane Jensen. This is fiction but it is very good. Great story line about how TEOTWAWKI could happen and very believable. I found it at the libray in the new releases shelf. This book is worth a library visit.

Move to our little town here in So.Mo. which just built a beautiful new library...and we don't even have library cards !! As opposed to the next town 30 miles south which built a new library this past year for 5x the cost...and a $25 fee for a card if you live out of town. They actually ARRESTED a woman who didn't return her library books; it is library policy. They make you sign a long form about the rules before you can get a card....I let my card lapse. "Sides, have a bigger gardening/farming/do-it-yourself library in my home than they do !!

My small branch library and the bigger city one, only asked to see a piece of mail with your name and address on it. Preferrably a utility bill. No fee unless you lose your card and get another one. You can call on the phone and renew your book if you are going to be late. I have used the libray for years and never had a problem. My children received their library cards just on my say so, no SSno. or any verification.
