Liz-- I agree! There are a number of helpful items in this book, including directions for a simple 'camp' oven made from a box and heavy-duty aluminum foil (and a variety of other cooking methods using items you'll find around the house).

Also of note is that I found the book at Sam's Club (and it was still available there on my last trip) at a reduced price for those that may be visiting Sam's anyway.

Liz... do me a favor please. Are there directions in there for making a simple hot water heater using a barrel, some copper pipe, and a wood stove? I seem to remember Dian coming up with something like that.

I'm gonna miss hot showers!
