Johnny Yes every one of my post are deleted on sight by "The Fascist of Sighs" and her scuttling minions. Her explanation is typical revisionist history. I started being deleted by a new SYSOP before any spamming began (the reason for the spamming in the first place)And I certainly did not initiate any spamming attempts, unless you call repeating the same post TWICE spamming. What the real issue here is the many on the forum who DO NOT want to see an alternate viewpoint, including the system administrators. They see this as their opportunity to silence the few of us who hold a different perspective on the date change.

I apologize if you have been offended by my lack of civility towards some of the monsters on this forum. I think it is important to note that while I may call some of these villains "fart-catchers", "mouth-breathers, "smegma brains", etc, I have never used profanity and have never wished physical harm to befall anyone. Contrast that with many of your Doomer brethren who spout gems like:

..and I feel confident I have nothing to apologize to them for.

Perhaps it behooves us all, to call something OT when it is (minus the flames), and not rely on the Dad or Mom moderators to do it for us. Some would call this encouraging self and group responsibility. (A skill we all need to cultivate, from now on, until, and after January 1st).

Your comment I know that I'm sure as hell bored senseless watching people who appear to be kind, educated, sensible, and interesting being drawn inexorably into repetitive, bickering squabbles about conspiracy theories and doom scenarios, is something we can all relate to.

For the record, I dont like it either. And its up to each of us to choose to self-moderate, the same as we all individually prepare at our on level of awareness. With that said, some of the OT stuff HAS turned out to be Y2K inter-related. Whod thunk it?

I appreciate the differing views, but would prefer the gang wars stop and we call a cease-fire. Can we all disagree with a modicum of civility?

Time will tell.

So Leska & Ashton... what should the delete criteria be?

(Agree it needs to be on a thread-by-thread basis... sometimes obvious, sometimes marginal).

Love the vote DELETE on a marginal thread that a participant once suggested. That seems to work.

Sometime's it's a clear-cut thing, other's not.
