Depends on the tonage, or like they say, "it ain't what you got, it's how you rack and stack it".

If SD gets hit by a ten or twenty Megaton warhead I'd say that your chances of coming out unscathed aren't too good. I imagine that you'll get winds up to and exceeding 200 MPH, a blast of heat hot enough to burn papers and grass, and depending on where you stand, enough Gamma and X-Ray radiation to melt your inards. Of course Gammas and X-Rays are largely blocked by a foot of dirt and four inches of concrete, so if you can, you might want to find yourself a bomb shelter if you see a "big bright flash" to the south at some time.

Just don't look directly at it...
