wow friends directed me to this site and now i can't leave it alone. i'm new to computers and recently have become more enlightened on the matter at hand. i need to know what all the abbreviations mean. please help. truly thekid

uh... there are a LOT of abbreviations. Perhaps you should list the ones you need explained? Just from the main page

EMP = Electromagnetic pulse = radio frequency shock wave created by nuclear blast which will burn semiconductors
