Here is the rumor concerning EO #13142 from only one source.

The upshot of this executive order is reportedly that in early December, sheriffs' departments (and police departments) nationwide are to become federally deputized, and initiate the confiscation of private firearms in the territory of the United States of America. __________________________________________________

I myself pay alot of attention to the government / gun issue as I believe its been made quite clear by B.C. and others that the end game is the removal of all guns from the hands of citizens. I even made reference to the above rumor in a previous thread.

I have just read the EO 13142 document which was released by the White House on 11/23/99. It has nothing at all to do with gun confiscation. It deals with the release / declassification of classified government documents after 25 years or something along that line, I just skimmed it.

One rumor put to rest.

Does anyone think that gun confiscation in the US is even possible? I mean, could it actually be done?

Would you want to be one of the guys in uniform who gets the assignment?

Would you want your wife/mom/daughter to hand in her weapon?
