An interesting website- very creative.

However, I'm not sure if you noticed, but this is the Black and White World website???

I think you have lost sight of what it is you are presenting. The concept and design are dazzling, BUT confusing. There are too many 'bells & whistles' & a generall impression of 'too muchness' without a clear indication of purpose.

In response to the above, I received the following reply from Jan:

"Of the numerous e-mails i've received over the years about my work, you are the first negative criticism. oh well, i guess there always needs to be at least one.

i haven't lost sight of my purpose at all, as far as i can tell, and based on what i have heard from others, the purpose of the web site and the content therein have merely escaped you! and that being the case, i will not endeavor to explain it to you, as that, in itself, is the underlying purpose of the site...to determine just how perceptive people really are.

jan"

Hi Jan, I assumed that by posting your site on the 'Black & White World URL Review" Community site, you were looking for feed back about your site. As a disinterested, neutral observer I gave you my impression of the site. I do not necessarily expect my comments about creative work to fall in line with everybody else's, for I believe it is the purpose of a review to give input and to present different points of view. I am sorry you did not find my comments helpful. If you were only looking for kudos, you should have said so.

I'm afraid i'm with Christian on this one... far too much window dressing for the content.

It took ages to see the photos, what with all the other little tiffs and the poetry(not to my liking). And the pictures are not too great either.

Wow! Once, while preparing for an executives demonstration, I was advised: "If you could not convince that, at least confuse them...". Well you sucseede to confuse me!
