Granite Curling Club (Seattle). Mostly, I wanted to see whether it would be possible to get a picture under these lighting conditions. Existing light, f1.4, 1/125s, and 50mm. Exposed 1 stop over the meter reading.

BTW, everyone at the club told me this kid exhibits a very good technique.

Great photo, Mark. Nice depth of field, the exposure seems to work, and you have captured the action. you are missing just the tip of his broom, but big deal. I think it is great.

I rather prefer the tip of the broom going off the picture. Some things are better left implied, in my opinion. Leaving the tip in the frame would make the shot look too static. The subject doesn't look tack sharp to me, but the image makes up for it in other respects.
