Business/Economy News Keywords: Y2K Source: Reuters Published: 11/24/99 Posted on 11/24/1999 06:26:02 PST by cavedweller Reuters to Expand Y2K/millennium coverage

With little more than a month to go before the start of the new year, Reuters is intensifying its efforts to provide comprehensive coverage of all aspects of the millennium story.

Spot coverage will be the staple of our text coverage over the next several weeks, but below are the highlights of our plans for advance stories, features and sidebars during the period.

--On November 29 and 30 and December 1, we will provide a package of stories on how the world is ready to cope with the millennium bug problem with only a month left before 2000. The package will include an overview accompanied by separates on how various sectors like aviation and telecommunications are shaping up. The overview will be updated on December 8, 15, 22 and 29.

--From December 1 to 17 we will provide daily features on how major cities are planning to ring in the New Year. Among the datelines included in this package are Jerusalem, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong, Berlin and Sydney. ------------------------------------------- link
