Question for Stan Farnya - wood stove manufacturer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just fired up for the first time a very cheap ($129.00 retail) wood stove. The manufacturer has several other models too.

These are low tech stoves-so the low price I guess, but given a jam like this you may want to see it for a group purchase?

Let me know here and I can give you www page or how to send to you?

...and thanks.

Madeupname,

Thanks for thinking of others. I would like to see what is available and what the prices are. It may be that a woodstove for a couple hundred dollars is just what someone is looking for. We might even be able to get a discount through a cooperative order. Thanks.

You can leave a site url for me here or send it by email to faryna@groupmail.com.

Sincerely,
Stan Faryna

Reply to Stan Farnya,

URL is >http://www.vogelzang.com<

Note: Currently available through retailers only, but there is a contact directly through the "guestbook" link could lead to group purchase.

I think worth a look to someone short on funds. Mine was ordered and delivered in 8 days.

Remember that even an inexpensive wood stove gets very hot and generates smoke. It must be properly set up and vented, and you take dire risks if you try to cut corners in the process.

Flint,

Thanks!

PLEASE!!!! Read the post above again. The manufacturer has specifications and proper usage info at the website.

Don't fry your family trying to keep them warm.

Northern Tool and Equipment has several relatively inexpensive wood stoves in their catalog at: http://www.northern-online.com

Looking at the Vogelzang list of dealers --

Ace Hardware
Alaska Fireplace
Amarillo Hardware Company
Aubuchon, W. E. Company
Buhrman-Pharr Hardware Company
Central Tractor Center
Cumberland General Store
Damark
Do It Best Corp (HWI)
Harbor Freight Tools
Levys Lumber & Building
Menards, Inc.
Mills Fleet Farm
Monroe Hardware Company
Moore-Handley, Inc.
Northern Hydraulics Company
Orgill Brothers & Company
Orscheln Farm & Home
Quality Stores, Inc.
Mattoon Rural King Supply
Selective Gift Institute
Servistar/Coast to Coast

True Value

Might be cheaper in the long run to buy locally and save the shipping costs on a minimum of 138 pounds of stove. :(
