Chain saw safety

Hello to all of you y2k refugees and others moving to the north woods. You seem like nice people and should be good neibours. One thing that scares hell out of us old timers is your casual use of chain saws and you lack of knowledge of bushcutting. A chain saw can cut to the bone in an instant. People have bled to death from a cut leg where the arteries were severed. Never use a chain saw unless you are wearing chain saw safety pants which you can get at any safety supply store. The first time you go out to cut trees take a knowlegeable person with you. While you are at the store you might get safety work boots with the steel toe. I used safety boots for years until an incident one day made me very glad I was wearing them. End of sermon. Be

Yeah, buying your first chainsaw for Y2k is a little like buying your first gun for Y2k. You MIGHT not hurt yourself, if you're real lucky.
