where in the world?

If you could spend the turning of the year anywhere at all in the world, where would that be?

Oh - phew. I'd start in Australia - go to Russia, then to Italy and Spain. Then I'd want to go to Germany, England and France but I'd be tired and cranky (and probably broke) so I'd have to come home and spend the balance of the year-turning in my own home. Which would be very cool, too.

Definitely start in Australia, though.

By the Pyramids, or the Sphynx, in Egypt. To watch the turnover in an ageless place.

Toss up between somewhere very glitzy, good music, good food good friends, dressed to the nines and dancing... or somewhere out in the desert where the sky is a big giant bowl and I can see the stars from horizon to horizon.
