D D Reed and her $10 reports, Did I get taken ??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

A little over two weeks ago when DD Reed was "Hot" someone posted that she had some reports for sale at www.y2kclassifieds.com.

I went there, read about her four or five reports, any one for just $10 bucks, and was curious enough about the old fashion well drilling report enough to send her a ten dollar bill, with a SASE.

After about ten days and no report, I decided to send her an quick e-mail. Tried to get into www.y2kclassifieds.com for her email address and that site is no longer online.

Questions : Do any of you know her email address ? Has anyone sent off and received a report from her ? What happened to y2kclassifieds.com. ?

I am posting under an alias but if I can get in touch with DD Reed, I will let you know what happens.

What does my problem have to do with you and Y2K ? ... DD's credibility. She expressed her opinions about a very important industry as a professional insider. You might have taken her serious enough to take additional preps like I did.

Right now I am disapointed and would like to get in touch with her and clear up this matter. Hope someone out there can help me. Thank you.

Her email is 1stlight@worldnet.att.net. She replied to a question I had on Nov. 14th and I still had the address around. Let us know what you find out.

How do you know it wasn't an imposter at y2kClassified?

Thank you Kris. I sent an e-mail to her and will let you know what happens.

Downstreamer - I don't know. The address to send the money was to Bandara, Texas and she implied in one of her post that she lived with some Native Americans in west Texas.

Bandera is in Central Texas. There are no Native American tribes in West Texas. She's a damn liar.

No, the imposter is probably a damn liar. Why whould someone with her credentials sell $10 reports over the web?
