Sadly, there have been no fireworks since your retired, Wayne, eh?

Mark you need to clean your contacts, before my groin pull, I was leading the league in scoring all areas, playing at least 5 less games than the player in 2nd.

P.S. Mark you need to get the hint from Wayne and Mario, retire while you can still skate standing straight up!!

Eh, go get a hair cut, you girly boy! You only look good because I allowed Alexi Kovalev to join you. I'll retire when I'm 90, just like Wayne.

Johnny C and myself were mentioning this as he is considering over the US border to buffalo so the leafs can kill the sabres. I think that this will involve closer scrutiny. Very serious situation :o)

I can only assume you're discussing something meaningful and important here - like what is this NHL abbreviation, eh? 8<)

Does it really matter what a bunch of skaters do in fornt of empty seats in a cold place somewheres up North - if the college bowl games on News Years Eve and New Year Day aren't finished yet?

Mark my boy,

First you play for the Canucks now not the Rangers. Remember you sold your soul for money a few years back!! Second I cut my hair over the summer, look in the mirror pepe you have zero on the top of your overrated head!!

What empty seats Cook? When was the last time you saw a hockey player doing a dance for doing his job? Hockey players have class unlike alot of football players who have to runaround like a chicken with its head cut off everytime they make a tackle, which is what they are paid to do I believe!!

Minnesota Vikings vs Edmonton Oilers in a fight... Who wins?

-- CD (not@here.com), November 23, 1999.

20 players vs 49 players, you do the math Jethro!!!

Welllll - my dear sir, I will admit that football players have to stop between plays, then get re-organized and have somebody tell them when to start playing again .....

... but other than that, .....

Robert

you are on thin ice here *VBG* foots ball is BORING compared to hockey. That is why our playoff season is alot longer.

Now if we could have aussie rules up here it would be a differant story.

1) I would absolutely LOVE to get to some of the hockey games. (I once played minor league...)

2) Australian rules hockey? Now THAT sounds interesting...can we play without ice?

Mad Monk

That is supposed to be aussie rules football not hockey. Good to hear you like da Hokey teem!

Wayne raises an interesting point about whether the NHL would cancel/postpone games around the rollover.

In the past games have usually only been cancelled due to the visiting team getting snowbound and not being able to get into the city in which they are scheduled to play.

I'm pretty sure that the NHL has had some contacts with people like the FAA and the airlines/airports to see what the anticipated situation is for travel just before and after the rollover. In general, all pro leagues are loathe to cancel games - it messes up the schedule, it can cost a lot of money and it gets fans po'd.

(Just as a sidebar to this discussion, a few months ago I tried to make a bet with Lisa about whether the Superbowl would be cancelled / postponed. I never did get her to bite, and I suppose, given the news on the infrastructure front, she is glad she didn't make the bet (g) )

THE STARS!!!!! THE STARS!!! LOVE THE STARS!!!!!

Last year, when we WON THE STANLEY CUP, (sorry, still get excited over that) the hubby and I wondered where it would be the same time next yr (2000)...though that is far from our biggest worry, we did wonder.....

if the game is on on Dec 31, we already know who will win: DA STARS!!!!!!!
