Today's Posts

I saw two articles in today's paper. One said that the FAA is worried about air traffic control compliancy, and the other (from some government subcommittee) said there was nothing to worry about in the medical iundustry. I can hardly wait for today's posts. Half will ask when the pollies are going to wake up and realize that just like the govmt says, ATC is not going to make it. The other half will ask when the pollies will wake up and realize that the govmt is lying about the health care industry making it. OOps, I almost forgot, the "concerns" about air traffic actually says that the US is ok, but the FAA doesn't know about foreign countries because they have no regulatory control over them.

Between Dec 30, 1999 and any date you care to name, more people will be killed by drunk drivers than all the Y2K problems combined.

Let us hope that you are entirely correct. We have years of statistics, based on historical facts, to reasonably guess how many people will be killed by drunk drivers in any given time period; Unlike Y2K, where the analysts and experts are still debating the potential outcome. However, there does seem to be one point of agreement among most of the Y2K analysts and experts...nobody knows because it has never happened before. There are prudent precautions we can take to protect ourselves from drunk drivers. Personally, I try to limit my driving in the early AM hours and on certain holidays, like New Year's Eve. I always wear my seatbelt, am aware and observant of other drivers, and maintain automobile and health insurance. What prudent precautions have you taken to protect yourself and your loved ones from potential Y2K problems?

How interesting. That's exactly what the power companies have agreed to say. When your power goes off 1/1/2000, it will be because of a drunken driver.
