Since I generally post to inform, or stimulate thought, it makes me wonder why anyone would describe an event without back up details.

This is not an accusation that you made up the story, FLAME AWAY, just a serious question - Why not tell us which bank and what town? It would certainly be more useful if we could follow up with a call to the bank to confirm.

Thanks!

How is a "y2k cash refill" any different from normal shipments of cash to a bank?

Is it a supply of "y2k cash" (toilet paper)? Now THAT would be newsworthy.

His last sentence indicates that he's near Pittsburgh, PA.

I don't know off hand which bank. He may not want to reveal his source.

near burgh..... meant nothing to me, I'm in Washington state.

However, it's a pretty big town and the name of the bank isn't exactly giving away any confidential information.

Well...

There is no link, it was broadcast on the radio this morning. ( A caller/ teller) As for the name, I don't know. There are 4 MAJOR banks in the area.
