Y2K Newsire - Mike Adams on hold till 1/1/2000

From y2knewsire.com, Mike Adams

My decision to cease the publication of public articles on Y2K Newswire stems, in part, from a deep consideration of these facts:

Fact: My original goal was to tell people the truth about Y2K while there was enough time remaining to do something about it. That time remaining is now nearly gone. Events cannot now be altered in any meaningful way

He's right. Is there really any use in trying to get people to prepare at this late date? Can anything be fixed now that isn't fixed already? I don't see the point of pollys trying to convince anyone at this late date either. What good would it do for a GI to turn polly now? What exactly would you tell someone who has just GIed to do to get ready for y2k in the next few weeks who probably is living from paycheck to paycheck and hasn't done one thing to prepare?

Well... it depends on who the polly's are. Wouldn't you rather it was some faceless polly that you don't know, rather than your friends, family and neighbours? I know, that's way harsh, there's not enough to go round, but, well, if you think that way and truly believe in TEOTWAWKI, you might as well go donate your stock to a homeless shelter. It's coming down to "me and mine" time. :(

This is a great shame as on NBC affiliate (where the movers & shakers & members of the international community live [all the embassy staffs etc..] gov/mil & major industry & private companies have branck offices or HQ offices) in the greater Washington DC area (VA, MD, DC) after the movie the news refered people to the y2knewswire site to get real y2k info... if this source is now a no go I shall be concerned for these possible GI's... I think Y2k newswire them has the responsability to have a very visible immediate link to other good GI sites. like michaelhyatt.com & timebomb2000 & worldnet daily's 2000 page etc...
