Watch the NBC News following the Y2K Movie Tonight

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

On the 6:30 news they announced that on the 11:00 p.m. news, following the movie, they will have someone speak about the various views about Y2K and give websites people can visit, "to decide for themselves," they said. HURRAY for this part! I think with the news treatment, the stores will have a small but significant run on canned goods this coming week.

Elaine, hold your breath on this one. I really need to see this post-movie show before I say 'HURRAY!'.

I hope you are right and all the stores are cleaned out. I am tired of feeling like I have the weight of the neighborhood on my shoulders, the worrying about DGI relatives, the idiots, the ex-co workers who rolled their eyes, and the many elderly and young that cannot be helped. Please let this show wake at least a few up.

Ok, I found NBC's Y2K discussion forum on nbc.snap.com. As of now (7:30 CST) there are only 9 messages. Perhaps now would be a good time to chime in.

That cheezy thread @snap...whoo...what a worthless endevor that is...God help us if thats what NBC is going to use as a level of discussion in order to weigh in people's concerns. The bloody people posting there seem to have an aggregate iq somewhere in housefern level. Even Y2KPro in all his malicious intent wasn't that pathetic. I think I'll post a link there, to here for those who are really interested...then again maybe I won't... What was it they said on the Titanic? "Theres only so many seats in this here lifeboat..."

Good God, chime me *out*.

They should have called it, "Chat Room Bimbos Do, Like, Why To Kay, Gyrrl!"
