Searching for Transscript of McAlveny Intelligence Report

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

One of the threads some days ago mentioned that there is a transscript of the "McAlveny Intelligence Report" anywhere on the internet. As I am not able to listen to the realaudio (due to old hardware and slow telco-lines) I would like to get this report on the screen.

Thanx

I second that. This was too good to miss. (No sound here.)

I don't believe it was a transcript of the recent interview (which itself generated a lot of commentary here) but the current issue of McAlvany's INtelligenc Advisor (november) topic "Toward a Total Surveillence Society" which is available online in its entirety. Don't know just where though. Try searching McAlvany; MIA, etc.

It was on Michael Hyatt's site in the discussion forum, and it was one of the poster's blend of McAlveny's interview of the Journalist and the Journalist's own report on his own website.

The bad news is that it isn't a transcript, the good news is that the summary hits all the major topics thoroughly. As I remember it, it is about 2/3 down the thread and it tells you that it is a blended summary.

I have listened to both the interview and the report twice, and I can tell you that summary is a keeper!

K- for those of us who are address challenged, an address or URL would be nice (I can cut-n-paste so link isn't needed).

A copy of the Mcalvany Intelligence report you are interested might be obtained by calling 1-800-528-0559. They will usually send out a free issue. Their address is: The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor, PO Box 84904, Phoenix, AZ 85071. The November 1999 issue is titled as follows: "TOWARD AN AMERICAN POLICE STATE: LIVING IN A TOTAL SURVEILLANCE SOCIETY". The web site address is mcalvany.com. The issue is a fascinating read.

Just checked Michael Hyatt's site. Here is what you do:

1. Go to the Michael Hyatt site. At top of the page is a tab for "Prep discussion group" The next click takes you to a page he inserted as an anti hacking device.

2. Go down and click on "discussion forum". That brings you to a list of topics.

3. Click on the "News" topic. Go down to "McAlveny Intelligence Report" (NOT McAlveny Intelligence Report #2 which is above it) The summary starts about 1/3 the way down. It is posted by someone Applepie or something like that, and starts with a disclaimer.

In some respects the summary is better than a transcript would be since the journalist has a tendency to ramble. Mc Alveny tightened things up quite a bit, but the Gordon(?) report on his own website tended to be kind of spacey.

Hope this helps.

I still get to Michael Hyatt at http://www.michaelhyatt.com (sorry, html impared as to hotlinks)

In fact, I'm looking at the URL as I type this...He kept the URL, changed Servers after the hack attack, and inserted that page as he states to force all to go there first (as partial protection against the type of hacking he suffered.)
