Lightbulbs themselves are actually a good barometer of what one is truly being prepared for. Confirmed Pollies don't buy any extra, the stores will be restocked as usual 72 hours after rollover. Confirmed Doomers don't buy any extra, because the grid will go down and they'll be useless. Those still in the middle buy a whole lot -- they are readily available since neither the Doomers or Pollies are stocking up, and the dirty electricity when we can get it is going to make them go pop a lot.

Not all of us are Christian. I think I'll mosey over to the altar and make an offering to Jupiter, in His guise of Reddy Kilowatt. ;)
