What do we know about Cuba's Nuclear Power Plants?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I live in Florida which I believe is within fall out range of a nuclear mishap in cuba. What do we know about Cuba's Nuclear Power Plants? Is there a regulatory agency like the NRC or NERC driving testing and compliance? I doubt it, but I would really like any pertinent info that others have run across.

Thanks in advance, Jamie

To the best of my knowledge, Cuba only has one nuclear power plant. Uncompleted and rusting in the construction stage.

Hey Jamie. What part of Florida do you live in? I live near Homestead, about 8 miles from Turkey Point.

I recently bought some Potassium Iodide to protect us from radiation sickness in case of an accidental leak at TP. I hate to have to even think about it.
