Well, blow me down with a feather.

Sentiments about Hill and Bill up there with Hitler, Mengele, Pol Pot, Stalin...what can I say. I think there might be a glimmer of hope after all.

Whatcha wanna bet he would be reelected right now cuz 'the economy is sooooooooo good'?

Bill and Hillary sure do give me the impression of being pure evil, practicing sedition, and I am not a white, fundamental Christian, owner of many guns, and do not vote the Republican Church ticket.

Yeah, but Klintoon won't be happy until he PASSES Hitler on this poll! After all, he always has to be on top right? :)

-- Crono (Crono@timesend.com), November 17, 1999.

Hey, wait a minute! Where's Kosky on that poll???

DOH! (head slap) He'll head up the poll AFTER rollover...

-- Dennis (djolson@cherco.net), November 17, 1999.

Add the two together and they'd be on top ..... but then again, maybe that's the first time in a long time they'd be together.

But then again, if they're together on top, who's really on top? 8<)....

Seriously, I'm disappointed that Mao was NOT listed; and irritated that extreme mass murdered (of millions) of their own people (Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot, ..) are included with two US politicians who are simply and purely evil, but who have not (apparently) yet murdered nearly as many.

Also: I'm pleasantly surprised that the mass national media's abject hatred of Nixon was not sufficient to get him on the list.....in other such lists before, Nixon has actually been "nominated" higher than all except Hitler.

Robert, it was a free poll...not multiple choice, the candidates were write-in, which I think makes for very INTERESTING data. Usually the media GIVES us THEIR choices and then they ask for a poll, so the results are already skewed. Apparently this was just a "write-in your own".

I guess the New York Post is part of that "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy", or perhaps most of America itself is.

YOU PEOPLE ARE SICK.

How can you compare oral sex lying, or financial shenanigans with mass murder?

-- kermit (colourmegreen@hotmail.com), November 17, 1999.

Spell: Kosovo.

-- (just@observing.anon), November 17, 1999.

Kermit,

you think that's all he/she/they're guilty of? No wonder the criminals keep getting reelected.

-- (cavscout@fix.net), November 17, 1999.

Hey Kermit,

Jump over here, I've got a blender to show you.

Seriously though, how many Americans will die because Bill took campaign contributions from the PLA (illegal, immoral, potentially ex ante treasonous)? I don't know, but I bet the number is greater than 0.

How many women has Billy boy raped besides Juanita Broaddrick?

How many Arkancides have there been on Billy boy's rise to power?

How much money did Billy boy receive from the sale of HIV-infected blood to Canada which resulted in the deaths of thousands of hemophiliacs?

We might know the answer to these questions if the media would get off of its kneepads and start asking real questions.

Now here is the scary thing - it doesn't matter how the Clinton's are perceived - they still are in power - and they know how to stay there. I'd imagine there were quite a few people who saw through Hitler too for all the good it did.

April - exactimundo!!

-- Guy Daley (guydaley@bwn.net), November 17, 1999.

I found it interesting that every person listed in the poll and the responses here lived in this century.

I really think there are some pretty good nominations in the first 900 years of this milenium. (Guess it's our fine educational systema at work.)

Say, for instance, Ghengis Khan, Torquemada, and....

If you add the deaths in Kosovo, Iraq, Sudan, due to bungled foreign policy, you still don't reach the level of murder and social disruption practiced by Hitler, Stalin, or Pol Pot. (And it is a stretch to equate misguided foreign policy with outright evil.) You probably don't even reach the level of Torquemada or Attila the Hun.

As for all those other charges that have been floated by people obsessed with Clinton - Ken Starr couldn't prove anything, and it wasn't for lack of resources or trying. Give the man his presumption of innocence. Get a life.

I don't want to spend time defending Clinton. I think the country could do better in terms of leadership. (It could also do a lot worse.) But he just doesn't qualify as a monster.

As for all those other charges that have been floated by people obsessed with Clinton - Ken Starr couldn't prove anything, and it wasn't for lack of resources or trying.

.....Maybe he wasn't "supposed" to find anything...

I don't want to spend time defending Clinton. I think the country could do better in terms of leadership.

.....America isn't supposed to have "leaders" she is supposed to have public servants.

Heads Up People.I did not initiate, conduct, coallate, quantify or fabricate this survey. It truly ran in the N.Y.Post edition of 11/17/99.There were seven separate surveys including most influential, best actor/actress,etc.,however the "most evil"catagory received the most attention with over 19,000 votes. This was an internet poll, and contrary to a posting above, there were selected criminals to choose from as well as a "write in" option.Bill&Hill were not listed as an option in this catagory.THIS is THE most powerful factor in the equasion. For you people sitting in the back row let me rephrase. All votes for Bill&Hill were write in votes. They were not intended to be included in this particular survey. And by the way Kermit, they didn't make any other list either.Actually I'm disheartened none of the "net"newspeople took this and ran with it.Also concerning is nypost.com didn't list it on their daily online edition.Agreed, there are other individuals of the nineteenth century who deserve ranking in this survey but,as it was a free thinking, free speach survey,I think it speaks volumes.Time permitting I will post the entire top 25 list tomorrow as well as my response tonight.

Even if you consider B.J.Clinton to be a rapist(which he is not according to our criminal justice system)that's still pretty mundane, don't we convict thousands per year?Calling bjc one of the most evil men and ignoring c.i.a.junta man George Bush sr. and the countries he destablized not to mention all the crack cocaine his cia cronies forced on the inner cities amazes me.Sheeple indeed.

-- apokoliptik (apokoliptik@yahoo.com), November 18, 1999.

What galls me is that if this poll had been given any publicity while the voting was going on, all us doomer, right-wing, conservative, religious, adjectives ad infinitum wackos could have gone and participated. And I'm sure that our dearly beloved leader would have outpolled all the other candidates combined.

But combined, they did outpoll all of the other candidates.....
