A fond Good Bye

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

To all forum members,

It is time for me to take my leave of this forum, and the wonderful chat area that Bok was kind enough to supply for everyone. I suggest that all go to that room and have yourself one heck of a good time.

Seems like the events of today were more a wild ride than anyone could have ever imagined.

Alas, my work is calling me to finish the business continuation plans and time grows short.

To those that like me and even those that loathe me, I do wish you the best possible outcome for the new year. Let us all continue to hope that our preparations are not needed.

This shall be my last post, so don't be fooled.

You too can return, sheets or no. SYOTOS, friend and cyber companion.

See you at Deedah's party.

Gawd, I have often thought of you, as that sheet flaps in the wind, revealing your bodacious ... uhh, I mean ... we sure will miss your thoughtful contributions to the forum. Good luck!!

A fond farwell Donna. I guess you are going cold turkey?

...... and speaking of the Chatroom, can someone post the password again?

-- the Virginian (1@1.com), November 16, 1999.

Donna,

I am saddened that you have made this decision to go. But you *can* always rethink your decision, and I hope you do. I doubt that anyone really wants you gone.

Sincerely, Stan Faryna

This is NOT the same Donna that wears the sheets.

What Stan said Donna.

I don't think that cannot-say@this.time is the same person as sheet-wearing Donna (moment@pacbell.net)

cannot-say,

Happy trails and good luck to you and yours

My Dear Donna,

I wish I knew what to say beyond I respect your decision. But saying farewell, this late in the journey, seems so hollow.

Y2K be damned, and other folks know you better than I, but the loss of your :-) will be greatly missed.

One more swing on the jungle gym? You must not go without closure.

-- Lilly (homesteader145@yahoo.com), November 17, 1999.

God Speed, and good luck in your endeavors. Cya on the other side.

-- Tim (pixmo@pixelquest.com), November 17, 1999.

Donna - God Bless & fair winds to ye! Thank you for your concern and wonderful advice - I'll miss you greatly... :-(

Take care now.

Donna, it was nice "meeting" you in the Monkey House. Good Luck and God Speed.

Donna,

I will miss you on the Forum & at the Monkey House. Stop by and visit sometime!

See you on the other side,

This forum will miss your reasonable voice. Please consider visiting after the rollover.

-- Ken Decker (kcdecker@worldnet.att.net), November 17, 1999.

I always enjoyed your posts and sincerely hope you come back. You are definitely one of my favorite posters here and everything you say seems fresh and from a new angle I've not considered before. I would wish you luck, but in the spirit of Holden Caulfield it feels a little rude to holler "Good Luck!" at someone in such a cavalier or "phony" way. So perhaps it's better to say I have faith in you to be a light of hope and reason to all who cross your path in the future.

-- coprolith (coprolith@rocketship.com), November 17, 1999.

Nope...not me, but my chat friend, Donna, who is called, cannotsay. I'll be here in my sheets awhile yet.

--She in the sheet upon the hilltop,...

-- Donna (moment@pacbell.net), November 17, 1999.

My compliments to BOTH Donna's.

;-D

Blessings and best wishes cannot-say@this.time Donna.

For Donna who lives in the moment... like a butterfly... glad to "see" you'll still flap those sheets awhile.
