Can you tell me the name of the actress that played Dr. Renee Spielman in tonight's, 11/11/99 episode? She looks so familiar, I know I've seen her elsewhere. It seemed like she had to make a huge effort to get her voice to work. Do you know what might be the matter with her voice?

I think her voice has always been a bit odd like that - it sounds more pronounced now that she's older. The main thing I can remember her in is the movie "Protocol" with Goldie Hawn.

Gail Strickland has been in a lot of stuff over the years. She was in "Man on the Moon", a good film that nobody saw, and "Norma Rae". I can't remember any others right off the top of my head. I have always liked her and was glad to see her on "ER".
