I work in a 300 bed hospital we are currently bringing up a new hospital system because our system is not y2k. All info being sent out states we are right on track but my brother who works in IS states we are not even close to being ready. Lockdown was set for Oct.1 at which time they would copy system into training and do testing. guess what? no lockdown. they have no new live date and and yet reading reports they are right on schedule and everything is fine. This leaves the ? how many others are in the same situation and refuse to acknowledge it.

I have been working on Year 2000 issues at my place of employment for about 2 years now. I know how much work it is to achieve compliance and what really amazes me is that one month the government was way behind in it's Y2K efforts and within about 2 months all of a sudden everything is great. I think the government is lying to us worse than anyone because they don't want to cause a panic. It wouldn't be the first time that they kept something from us.
