greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

Please use simple english without idiomatic expressions and think to all those who haven't english as their mother tongue ! This will help us to understand the meaning of texts and to participate in the board discussions in a better way ! For example : what means : 'nuff said at the end of a text !?

It's an abbreviation for "enough said", which is itself an abbreviated version of "It is clear enough as it is, so i've said enough." or "I've talked long enough, so I'm going to stop for now." I don't think Joustgod meant the latter, seeing as he only wrote a few sentences.

Comic book legend Stan Lee uses it as a tagline, the last words in all of his columns are "'nuff said". Sometimes fans will use it as a tag line themselves, similar to "Keep you feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars." or "And that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so."

Aqua, who says "It's clobberin time!"
