My version of CCR's Green River, a stagnate tributary of the Santa Fe. Green stuff is duck weed

The photo itself doesn't thrill me, but it does bring back pleasant memories of summer walks along the C&O Canal Towpath in Maryland, which looks very similar. There you'll see turtles on every log - unless they hear you coming...

Cool place, but it needs softer light. I think an overcase day would make the whole place "glow" more with the diffuse lighting....

Kieth, You mean like this?

I think you have certainly done better work, but since I used to work for the Bureau of Aquatic Plants back when the Florida DEP was still DNR, I like it anyway. In fact, I like this better than the shot with the turtles. Hmmm. The more I look at it, the more I like it. What film was it shot on? If it was Velvia, you really need to send it to the Slideprinter and have it printed.

Looks like a good spot to sit and meditate for awhile, the green appears to be irridescent? If this is Fuji film I understand that they have a green bias, which this picture would show. Pat

I agree with Mark. I think you'll get better results in soft light. I would re-shoot in a cloudy day. As the way it is now, the few spots where the sun comes through are a bit annoying.
