Mongo,

Why don't you snoop around and see what you can come up with. Get some night vision glasses and some camoflage. Paint some black under your eyes and watch what they do. What the hell you doing sitting here? Get out there and investigate, man!!!!

Dude, I'm the ultimate doomer/tinfoil but jeez....

"dont give me the line about there traning and, its just there traning weekend and that line of crap"

This is the first weekend of the new month, Traditional Guard Weekend. Fed-Gov only sets the first weekend of the month up so as to allow employers to have EOM/BOM leeway for members.

", I did my time with this natl guard unit as a cadet and we were NEVER allowed to take our weapon off post"

No shit genius...not only were you in the guard, but a guard Kay- Det. That counts as double useless. Can't believe they even let you have a gun...Thats no dump either. Kay-Dets, as a rule, even in the regular army, it was 'Look but no touchie'

MONGO...take a pill, have a drink and re-lax.

Don't panic until the bastards declare it (Martial Law). THEN you can panic. I know I will...

-- Billy Boy (Rakkasan@Yahoo.com), November 06, 1999.

mongo - I recommend you move away from Maryland. It is no place to live if you are concerned about such things - regardless of how valid your concerns might be.

Moving is not hard. Pack the car if you have one, pack a bag and call greyhound if you don't. If you're worried about martial law, just move to where it isn't an option - a low-density area far from any high density area.

The craziest thing about this forum isn't the pollies/trolls/doomers - it is the people who expect hard times but refuse to change location.

-- Gus (y2kk@usa.net), November 06, 1999.

Mongo..now THATS freakin' scary. My mother called me from Arizona to say she saw armed troops last week, also first time in her life. She's no GI, but she still wondered if this was some "y2k thing?".

Gulp.

Guys, Girls & whatever;

Don't give mongo such a hard time. He didn't say that they were; 1. aliens; 2. troops from the UN or other countries; or 3. agents from the GW Bush [shrub] campaign. He falls in the range of acceptible.

Best wishes,,,,

Hey guys, Dont be too rough on the Beaver.

-- Warl (earl,shuholm@worldnet.att.net), November 06, 1999.

I work with MONGO and will not disagree with him. It has happened before (last year) in the same spot going the same direction. However, last year they were not armed!!! Nor was there any pickup trucks involved. Mongo does not BS any of you people. We have photos of other strange goings on, (fully loaded Cobra at our local airport in Sept. with there own civilian dressed security)(gen sets and portable kitchens from "Force Provider" being built in town) but we were outta film for this one. Why should we move, this is OUR home, not their playground!!!!!!!!

Now this is a good example of why I don't use a spell checker. All it does is let you spell the wrong word right.

Since, sense, cents - there, their, they're - to, two, too.. At least I try to use the correct word, even if my dyslexia causes me spell it wrong.

-- Shery (sams@brigadoon.com), November 06, 1999.

I am reassured to think the Guard is practicing mobiization. We might need the order they could provide.

Sherry,

I don't use a spiel checker either!

One possibility for Guard troops hoofing it down the road is that it's time for their yearly 12-mile timed march with full gear. It gets them some advanced infantryman rating if they can do it un under two hours or such.

Our local Guard unit had a notice in the local paper for their ruck march. "Please don't run over the soldiers...". It detailed the reason for the troops being out in public, carrying unloaded rifles and told the public not to be alarmed. It also mentioned slow-moving vehicles for the medical personnel there to handle stragglers and drop-outs.

But the trucks hauling wire and signs weren't part of last months excercise.

Mongo ---- Congratulations to you for telling it like you saw it. Its to bad this forum doesn't have a thousand "Mongos" out there across America to let us know just what this government is up to. I would have been alarmed too.

I was just sending in what I had seen. so many people are so quick to say "go back to sleep" i wonder why that is , who do they think they are , all i did was report what i had seen . but they are the ones that want to call me crazy . The ones that are crazy are the ones saying "dont mind the man behind the curtan" every thing is ok , go back to sleep , they only doing this to protect you , in fact it would be better if you just give us your rights now becuse its alot easyer to dole out liberty to thoes who are not still standing with that old piece of paper that saying all that bull about freedom of speach , and bearing arms ,and that little thing about searching you stuff, . dont mind me i am the one who is crazy.

I realy like the guy who says dont worry about it till they declair martial law, HEY SHIT FOR BRAINS then it will be to late to let SHIT HEADS LIKE YOU AND THE SUCH KNOW THAT THERE LITTLE PRETTY WORLD HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY , !!!

i dont use spell check , becuse this is the way i was tought to spell afterall i graduated from a public high school they are so much smarter than all of us..

Hi Mongo,

On this subject, I don't know a thing. I am also too far away to find out. I do have family back home though about whom I care very much. Would it be naive to ask them why they are armed and parading about? They apparently aren't hiding their movements? Ask your representatives. Their answers may not be truthful, but they will be revealing.

What about a petition asking about their doings? Are you afraid of them making you a target? If I was concerned about something like this, I'd pick up the phone and call the radio stations, tv stations, my representatives, the cops, the local military until somebody told me something.

But I support you in telling us, Mongo. Thank you.

Can any of you comment on WHY I have seen many more A-10 flights over my area than usual? Normal levels are maybe a couple pairs making overflights once a month... This month so far, I have seen 4 aircraft in LOW flight (200 ft-400ft), 5 times so far (and in only the first week of the month).

Normally, they have no underwing ordinance, and since the beginning of the month, they ALL have had underwing ordinance. And I'm not talking about the blue exercise dummy bombs either. Looked like Mavericks and some kind of bombs. F-ing strange for just practicing, it seems to me.

This is occurring in SC PA, near Hanover.

-- Bill (billclo@msgbox.com), November 07, 1999.

Bill,

I would think that A-10s in the Hanover area are most likely MD Air National Guard birds on their way to Ft Indiantown Gap's air-to- ground range. Probably for a joint excercise with MD & PA Army National Guard helicopter units. Just an educated guess, since I helped coordinate a couple of those shindigs at Ft Gap & at Ft Dix.

Way to go Mongo.

There is no harm in reporting what you saw. It is the duty and responsibility of this forum to look at any piece of information and evaluate it on its merits and associate it with other pieces of info to see if there is any correlation.

We are, after all, supposed to be acting like a "collective intellegence" providing support for one another by sharing information.

This trend of "shooting the messenger" has got to stop. If you continue to stop the flow of information you will be preventing good leads from surfacing because more timid people will be too afraid to face the "wrath of persecution".

Having been the recent recipient of such wrath about a recent post I made regarding Martial Law, I know how Mongo feels. We come here to post info to give a "heads up" and put the news into the "info pool" for everyone to evaluate. Not to get everyone excited to the point of panic.

Let's get real here, this forum does not have the power or scope to start a panic... and if you think it does, you're wrapped up in your own self-importance and are taking your "forum responsibility" way too seriously.

I also want thank the few people out there who took the "Head's Up" information for what it was worth. Just a heads up. The friend I heard it from is a very serious Y2K activist and prepper and is a regular "lurker" on this forum, and IMHO would never stoop to spreading wild rumors. And neither would I. But when It comes to the government and what it might do regarding ML, the only info we are likely to get is from "loose lips" in the know who can can't keep a secret. And when it comes to ML, I fully believe it will be a good thing. We are going to need all the help we can get. As Bill p. suggested, we will have a lot of resources to protect.

And Y2Kpro, don't be so quick to "shoot the messenger" .... your itchy trigger finger is showing... As a former combat vet I've been in more third world countries than you can name, and when it comes to ML and living under a military state of seige I've "been there done that" and you don't want to know what life can really be like.

The heads up was meant as "keep your ears open" and a warning to any of your family and friends who may plan on traveling during that time.

If injecting any humor in my posts make them seem "less serious" for some of you... get a life. Humor is the only way I can deal with this madness.

And when I mentioned "resistance" in response to ML, to me that is the ultimate ironic joke. If you look at our history from the sixties on, we have become less interested, decade by decade, in standing up for what is right and taking a stand on anything. We have become a country of couch potatoes more interested in watching life on TV rather than actually having one.

Considering our country's history, and the men and women who fought and died to give us our tv remote controls, if major "stuff happens"... we deserve everything we get... 'Cause as far as I can see, Americans have been sleeping on watch.

Keep your eyes and ears open and keep reporting everything you see here. There are those of us who will evaluate it as what it is... just raw data which may be useful or flawed.

Let's not have our own version of TB2000 censorship. We owe it to ourselves to be open and free for as long as it lasts.

You know, I read this forum everyday and its been getting worse and worse as far as people ridiculing each other about there spelling and any other thing they can think of. Knowing Mongo personally as I do and having served my country in the USAF from 1980 to 84 I can sympathize with him. He called me about the guard unit at home, they were right in front of our business, and told me about it. Whether you people believe it or not is not my problem or his. The only thing I can say is: When the ball falls, and your world tumbles down around your feet in the next 53 days, I don't want to hear any of you sap heads whining because nobody told you this could happen. When the knock comes on your door asking for your guns, will you give it to the stock first or business end first. When you and your family want to travel, will you give them your papers like they require? Wake up and smell your freedoms eroding away. It seems that there are a few trolls on here that need to come up from under there little bridge or they will soon find themselves hunkering down in a corner waiting for people like Mongo and myself and a few others on here that have some fuzz on our doodads to protect them.

PS Bill, We are seeing a lot of A-10's over Frederick also...Mongo and I were just talking about that on Friday. Shoot me an email and we'll share some photos with you of some other little toys we've noticed in the local area. By the way, I graduated from Delone Cath. up your way.....small world..

Excellent! They can absorb the brunt of the ravening mutant CEO's that will boil out of the radioactive boardroom wastelands, meeping and gibbering and baying for human blood. That'll let me save my ammo for the real threats, the Zombie Republicans.

Not saying you didn't see it, only saying "So what?" As to the follow- up about a "Fully armed Cobra", what do you think they were planning to do with all those tankbusters? Turn looters into piles of goop?

This seems like a good post to repeat the news on WTOP 1500 am Wash. DC about 1 month ago, when they announced that "Gov. Glendening (Md), was told by the state senate, that they don't expect any serious problems, but just in case, the Nalt. Guard and Md. state police would all be in uniform." At this point, it's pretty much a "given", so I'm actually kind of glad in a way; there will be someone to maintain order when or if it's needed. Don't get me wrong; I'm not looking forward to problems AT ALL. But remember a year ago when a lot of us went thru the emotional turmoil of understanding that our famiies and friends (and ourselves) might suffer. The general public is not gonna get the same benefit of extra time to prepare and all hell might brake loose.

-- KoFE (your@town.USA), November 07, 1999.

How do you brake loose anyway?

---hey mongo and patriots--check this out, just 15 minutes ago I had an APACHE helo almost touchdown outback. came right in, hovered, then split in the same direction it came from. both scared me a little and pissed me off BIGTIME. this was a highly illegal flight, the altitude was ridiculously low, talking blowing leaves around throw a baseball at it low....take it for what it's worth, I'm convinced it's gonna get worse before it gets better, the king and his globalist goon friends want the whole enchilada, they aren't happy with what they have already. bungholes.

-- zog (zzoggy@yahoo.com), November 08, 1999.

What mongo is saying could be truth. I live outside Charlotte Nc and I have noticed a lot of National Guard Vehicles out the road the past couple of weeks, nore so than usual. I live on a Major Highway and work at an auto dealership right on I-77, and have seen lots of Hummers, tanks on Flatbed Trucks ( including Russian Models painted flat back, in additon to M1A1 Abrams painted black as well) and even some painted white (hence U.N.) and a helluva lot a AH-64, Chinooks, and Hueys flying over head, even seen more fighters and C-130's flying around than usual. Our Millitary is preparing for the new millenium and doing training exercises often. They even had the Marines training for " a Major Civil Disturbance" in Cisco a few months ago, where the did a beach invasion and all. It was briefly mentined by the mainstream media.
