If this is an example of how programmers will "fix" Y2K problems, then it is far worse than I imagined!

OK, I guess what Hawk is trying to say, is that yeah, it's nice to be able to get in have everything be responsive. BUT, it is really a pain to try to have a "discussion" when you are not sure if you are seeing all that has been discussed.

Don't get me wrong, half a loaf is better than none, but if there is any way that we can go back to being confident that a REFRESH/RELOAD operation will in fact show what is truly there, that would be all that is needed.

Thanks.

I realize that the Greenspun forum is limited, and am not complaining. But seriously, I think this is a good example of what could occur in many organizations that have similar limitations. It seems that when the processing power is limited, they may have to sacrifice one part of a program to get another to function.

On this forum, if we have a choice between the two, I vote for getting rid of the reload time warps and going back to taking our chances with the server busy. However, I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and as always, am grateful for whatever Phil has provided. We may as well get used to it now, cuz it's gonna get a lot worse out in sheepland!
