Everyone who paid for tabs in 1999 for a portion in 2000 should get a refund....contact everyone, congressman, etc.!!!!

maddjak, Asking people to vote for an initiative is appropriate political activity. Trying to see "How many problems we could cause the state" is terrorism. What happened to the "we" in public life? Shouldn't we be trying to fix things which have gone wrong with "our government," instead of destroying it.

Speech is pretty sacred in our system, but what you are suggesting is the kind which is about the only exception--"crying fire in a croweded theater." Let's cut back the rhetoric and try to solve these problems, not create more.

How many problems could we cause Tim Eyman if:

Everyone who can't get through to a 911 operator on January 1 calls Tim's house instead?

Being the saviour of "the little guy", I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping 'em all out...

Bob go back and read my post. I wasn't crying fire in a theater. Read the whole post not just the title.

and Todd quit being so stupid

maddjak,

Was there something more to your post than "a thought" that we should cause the state a lot of problems by registering every car in the same month? I can't read anything constructive into that thought-- only a destructive suggestion (firebomb) irrelevant to I-695 or to anything it was intended to fix. If there was, I confess that I missed it. Please explain.

After re-reading your post maddjak, I too am unable to gather anything from it other than an attempt to cause even more of a strain to government. Especially after months of reading your threads on this site. Just wondering is Mad in maddjak to mean mad as in angry or is it ti mean loopy?...Just a thought.

Let me explain. If everybody in the state paid for their tabs in the same month then all of the people who 'work' in that division would have nothing to mess up the rest of the year. Renewal notices would not need to be sent out. Mega printing, handling and postage costs would not be needed.

That's what I meant. It would alter the requirements for that division of government to a part-time operation.

Now how bad would that mess them up? And how much would it benefit us?

I see what you are getting at now. Although it sure seems to me that would be an aweful lot of vehicles in a one month period, not to mention the vehicles being sold everyday.

Maddjak:

So your idea is that they hire a lot of temp help for a month at the licence agencies and emission control stations? And these facilities are just vacant most of the year? And we wait in lines for hours instead of minutes? And we and the state will benefit from this how? I think you are just covering up your real intent, which is to cause problems.
