i am sending out inquiries & looking for as many responses from different filmmakers as possible pertaining to this situation : how to get sync sound when using a dvsteadicam with an xl1 mounted...using a dat is preferable or without if possible...thanks much.

I am planning on a shoot coming up with the same situation. I will be using another Dv camera to record audio. THe TRV-900. Don't know if it will work but it seem reasonable. Dat would probably be better, but I don't want to rent one unless I have to.
