I am trying Image Transfer using the Daylab Jr. All the images are coming out with a thick layer of brown gunk, and adjusted at the lightest setting are still "murky".

How long can I wait until I put the negative on the wet paper? I want to remove the edges as they always seem to cause trouble, but I don't know how much time I have....

I am soaking the paper for 1-2 minutes at 100 degrees, pulling the negative between 12-15 seconds, using a warm marble plate and then waiting 1-2 minutes....still no luck.

From my experience timing is not that critical. Maybe your paper is too wet. Please check some earlier discussion in the thread "no luck with transfers" ...
